The Flying Dutchmen è una marca di semi di cannabis con una storia che risale all'inizio degli anni '80 ad Amsterdam. All'epoca, Eddy, il fondatore della Flying Dutchmen, era nel pieno della sua attività. Le sue genetiche potevano essere acquistate presso il suo negozio nel quartiere a luci rosse.
Nel 1984 iniziò ad offrire i suoi semi ad altre banche del seme, consentendo loro di provare le sue genetiche. Fu così che influenzò molte delle varietà create negli anni '80. Si può tranquillamente affermare che Eddy, soprannominato The Flying Dutchman, fu un vero pioniere.
Strinse una forte amicizia con Ben Dronkers, il proprietario della Sensi Seeds. Nel 2006 la Sensi Seeds acquistò tutte le genetiche di Eddy, il negozio di Amsterdam e il nome della società con la promessa di mantenere vivo il nome 'The Flying Dutchmen'.
