John Sinclair è un poeta e scrittore americano, appassionato consumatore di cannabis da oltre 57 anni. È entrato a far parte della storia quando venne arrestato per aver ceduto due spinelli ad un poliziotto sotto copertura nel 1969, venendo poi condannato a 10 anni di reclusione. Fu rilasciato nel 1971, appena due giorni dopo il "Free John Now" Rally, nel quale persino John Lennon si esibì, per protestare contro quella sentenza ridicola.
Oggi, è a capo della John Sinclair Seeds, una banca di semi che vanta anni di esperienza ed offre un'ampia gamma di cime di prima scelta. L'assortimento include ceppi sativa, indica, ibridi, Skunk, autofiorenti, e molti altri. In particolare la Amsterdam Skunk, una genetica sativa/indica, è famosa per aver vinto la prima Cannabis Cup ufficiale ad Amsterdam.
